I challenged myself to participate in this year’s 36 Days of Type on Instagram, and managed to complete all 36 letters and numbers on my first attempt (and even get them mostly posted on the right day, despite internet hiccups and other real-life challenges!) I opted for a relatively normal Didone font to provide a skeleton, then hand-drew leafy stems for each glyph. I’m pretty happy with how they turned out, though there are a few glyphs that will need reworking for a more consistent appearance with the rest of the set.
I’d eventually like to create a layered type system out of them, but I have to learn how to do that first. So, for now, I’ll be adding a few punctuation pieces to them and putting the set up in the Holly Wolf Scraps shop as a template set for digital scrapbooking alphas.
